Originally from the small island of Vanuatu, Fabz grew up with a deep appreciation for sports, art and travel.

During his teenage years, Fabz discovered a fascination with tattoo artistry through his Polynesian culture and the historic tradition of tribal tattooing.

In 2003 Fabz moved to the Gold Coast Australia to embark on a journey of artistic growth. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Griffith University, Fabz sought out mentors and apprenticeships, immersing himself in the world of tattooing and learning from seasoned professionals.

Fabz then went on to travel extensively tattooing at conventions and doing guests spots in America, Canada, France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Germany, England and The Netherlands just to name a few. This is where Fabz developed his own unique style, blending elements of his travel, realism, Polynesian art, and neo-traditionalism to create visually stunning and meaningful tattoos.

In 2014 he co-founded The Black Mark with a group of talented tattooists and is now deeply anchored into the Melbourne tattoo scene. This humble shop has gathered world wide recognition and has attracted some of the biggest names in the industry to work or guest spot here.

Outside of his tattoo studio, Fabz spends time with his amazing partner Natasha, their beautiful daughter Esme and adorable long-haired dachshund Bella. He loves pushing his limits with heavy barbells and impressive gymnastics on his homemade and perhaps questionable Crossfit setup, or exploring the ocean through surfing or free dive spearfishing.

He constantly seeks ways to evolve both as an artist and as an individual, always pushing the boundaries of his creativity and exploring new techniques to enhance his craft. Fabz’ journey is one of relentless passion, artistic growth, and a genuine desire to leave a lasting artistic legacy.
